Exteriors
Villa Grifone is located right between Siena and Arezzo, in the celebrated Chianti region. This wonderful location allows for daytrips to almost
all the main Tuscan cities and towns of Tuscany, all within one-hour reach.
Formerly the residence of the farmers that worked the beautiful land around the villa, Villa Grifone was built in 1735 to be completely remodeled two years ago.
Today the villa represents the essence of Tuscany with modern elements of comfort and amenities. All the traditional rustic elements have been kept and exalted to spouse the ancient with the modern in harmony.
Villa Grifone's exteriors are characterized by the wonderful courtyard, and the large floodlit swimming pool resting in the 14,000 square meter fenced park, fulli lit. The park is adorned with statues and secular trees for your private pleasure to freely walk in the silence and peace of this precious garden.
The swimming pool is 6 meters by 12 in size. In addition to sun beds the pool area is fitted with a barbecue and table and chairs for up to 22 people; a wonderful setting to enjoy unforgettable "alfresco" meals.
Interiors
The indoors of Villa Grifone are just as wonderful as the outdoors. Rich fabrics, truly antique Tuscan furniture, wooden beam ceilings, cotto floors and original brick-vault ceilings convey the special feeling of living the past with all the modern comforts.
Villa Grifone can accommodate up to 22 people with 9 bedrooms and 7 full bathrooms. Each bathroom features a Jacuzzi shower or a Jacuzzi bathtub. All bedrooms feature wireless Internet access and an LCD satellite TV set.
The ground floor of the villa includes 1 double king-size bedroom and 2 double twin bedrooms, in addition to 3 full bathrooms of which 2 feature a Jacuzzi shower.
On the first floor is the kitchen, and the large living room with a comfortable sofabed and sofas dominates the space displaying a wonderful fireplace, very scenic and ideal for winter nights. From the living room you can gaze at the park and the private pool. The large dining room accommodates 22 people sitting comfortably. On this floor there are 2 double king-size bedrooms and 3 double twin bedrooms. Also on this floor are 3 full bathrooms of which 2 feature a Jacuzzi shower.
The kitchen of the villa is equipped with all modern amenities including microwave oven, dishwasher and all the necessary dining equipment. The villa also has a washer and dryer.
Few steps from the main body of the villa is a very romantic cottage for two people where you will find a dining room/kitchen, a sofa bed and LCD satellite TV set, in addition to one double twin bedroom (can become a double king) with ensuite bathroom with Jacuzzi bathtub.
The rental, among other services, includes 3 hours of housekeeping 5 days a week.
