Exteriors
Villa Corti thrones a hill in Chianti, dominating wonderful landscapes. The history of the villa dates back to the Renaissance through a long line of noble families and patrons of the arts. After a careful restoration that brought the villa back to its antique beauty and harmonized it with the wonderful surroundings, you will be able to enjoy this wonderful Tuscan accommodation that quietly spouse the antique Tuscan tradition with modern amenities and comforts.
The hamlet of the villa is one thousand years old, and includes a park where you will find olive groves, rose bushes and wild bushes scenting the air with Mediterranean flavors.
The surroundings offer plenty of occasions to relax. The large swimming pool of 15 by 7 meters in size lays in total privacy surrounded by rose bushes, an olive grove, 2 hectares of grass and yellow broom bushes. The pool area is equipped with shower, changing room and a refrigerator to keep drinks cool. Wooden sun beds are provided. Besides the pool is a large gazebo adorned with vine roses decorating it and shading the large table for 20 people ideal for “alfresco” meals. This section is provided with lighting and a large marble table and a kitchen for your outdoor cooking.
Besides the garden is a small woods provided with hammocks to enjoy the peaceful relax in direct contact with nature.
At the villa you can find complimentary mountain bikes to explore the beautiful surroundings. You may also enjoy activities such as tennis playing and horseback riding just few minutes away.
Interiors
The interiors of the villa develop on two floors. The ground floor accommodates the large entrance hall also used as a living room. The kitchen is extremely large and equipped with professional amenities and utensils. Besides the kitchen are the utility room with laundry and the pantry. The dining room is very spacious and includes a large table of 4.5 meters in size. Here, among the many pieces of antique furniture, you will find sideboards with fine pottery and the villa’s coat of arms. In addition on this floor there are two bedrooms. One is a double twin bedroom with view over the garden that can become a double bedroom with en suite bathroom with bathtub and shower. The other bedroom is intended for the staff or children with two single beds and en suite bathroom with shower.
The stairs to the first floor include the entrance to the office studio with internet access, telephone, fax and personal safe.
On the first floor you will find two spacious lounges with antique stone fireplaces, comfortable sofas and large arched windows that fill the room with light. Also available are a satellite TV set, and a DVD and CD players. The floors are paved with antique terracotta tiles, while all the brick arches, doorways and windows of the villa are still the original ones from the Renaissance.
On this floor also are the remainder five bedrooms. One double bedroom has a king size bed and en suite bathroom with shower, two double bedrooms have queen size beds and en suite bathrooms with shower, one is a double twin bedroom (can become a double) with en suite bathroom with shower, and one single bedroom (extra single can be added) with en suite bathroom with shower.
All bedrooms are equipped with orthopedic mattresses and bed frames for a comfortable sleeping, and all enjoy wonderful views of the landscape around the villa.
